This is a typical Inspection Process.
Go back and read through the initial text once more; just with your eyes.
Count the "F"s.
See how many you can find.
The answer will be revealed somewhere in the content below.
It is an exercise in raising your awareness. Remember the Ice is about repetition and having an open mind to new ideas and concepts. Most importantly it is about paying attention to what you want to have happen.
If you have been a student of Remember the Ice for awhile, attended one of Bob's talks, or done coaching with him, you have heard him comment on a major point from Stephen Covey's book: The7Habits of Highly Effective People. On page 99, the heading for the point is "All Things Are Created Twice."
"There's a mental or first creation, and a physical or second creation to all things."
This is a profound concept; one that Remember the Ice uses constantly. It is a matter of inspecting our word choice, first in thought, then in our articulation of that message. Our juxtaposition of words can build up or tear down.
Take the time to inspect your word choice. Stop and Think before you speak.
While you're at it, go back and count the "F"s again. Did you get the number?
The answer is here in the text.
Have fun with this one.

Precise Communication in the Skies!!
As I watched the 2010 Arctic Thunder Air Show on Elmendorf AFB this past weekend, I was very impressed at the precise maneuvers on display by the famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels. These 6 pilots demonstrated precise communication in the skies.
I was fortunate enough to take some photos that show their incredible skills. While most of the 200,000 attendees (over two days) were in awe of that skill, I was particularly interested in the word choice Commander/Flight Leader Greg McWherter and his team would use during their demonstration routine.
As you take a look at the following pictures, know that there is no room for (k)notty words.
To fly with this kind of precision is a demonstration of knowing:
There is Power in the Clarity of your Articulation.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking them.
Right from the start, the team is specific and clear with their communication, from the hand signals as the F-18 Hornet is warming up, to the Commander's signal to take off.

They went right into some diamond shaped maneuvers and solo passes as well. As you can see, they are quite close.

Here is a sequence of shots showing a precise pass in a very tight space. There has to be Clarity in their Articulation. Hundreds of hours of practice. Repetition.

Here is their famous Diamond pass. The announcer said they get as close as 18" from the wing tip to the canopy of the other jet.

Here are some passes in the Delta Formation.

How about a Diamond pass with some inversion thrown in, all in tight quarters.

This is actually two jets mirroring each other.

Here is a graceful straight line pass of 5 of the 6 jets.

After a powerful demonstration of the F-18, Cdr McWherter brings his team in for a precise procession to the tarmac and an on command exit from their jets.

Empowering Regards,
Bob
