So how can you re-frame a disclaimer?
Chances are you have received emails with one of these messages at the end of it. Each has “(K)notty Words” that help to confuse the message.
Have a go at Re-Framing them. Remember using “do, can, will, would, could”.
Thank goodness for the backspace key when typing your emails.
Have an empowering word choice week,
Bob

Something to be passionate about…
Remember the Ice helps you attract the life you want through empowering word choice.
There is Power in the Clarity of your Articulation.
There is Power in the Physiology of your Articulation.
There is Power in the Congruency of your Articulation.
This ice chip will focus on the last comment: the Congruency.
Last week the Ice Pics newsletter focused on the following photo shared by my friend Carl Johnson. The fact his awareness was heightened, to look for interesting language on signs; is a high compliment for this author.
If you will indulge me for a minute or two, I would like to comment more in depth on this message.
First of all, it is a great message! Straight forward! Congruent!
For me, I have a passion about eradicating Litter.
Much has been said about saving the environment and going green and reducing our carbon footprint, etc.
My contribution?
Litter is an Insult.
There is no rational reason to litter. Ever!!
Think about the internal conversation that someone might be going through as they get ready to litter…
“Gee, I have this fast food drink cup that I am done using. Wonder how this would look on the side of the road? I know I’m not supposed to litter. It’s just that I can’t leave it on the floor of my car, because it might drip something on the carpet. I can’t let that happen. I don’t want to have to deal with it…… so out the window you go!”
My point is: THERE IS NEVER A REASON TO LITTER. PERIOD.
If we want to be congruent in our demonstration of caring for our environment; let’s show it in our behavior.
Let’s adopt the new three foot rule. (Refer to Ice Chip #64)
"How about a new three foot rule.... if you see trash within three feet, pick it up, and throw it away properly."
Let's just do "The Next Right Thing".
We know it is an easy thing to do. Just keep beautifying the next three feet around you.....
Just do it! (With thanks to Nike)
Have an empowering week,
Bob
